BMC is a thermosetting polymer blend of unsaturated polyester resin, short glass fiber reinforcement (typically 15-20%), and inorganic fillers such as Alumina Trihydrate (ATH). The micro-structural matrix yields exceptionally high flexural strength (>120 MPa) and arc tracking resistance (CTI ≥ 600V).
Formulated for high-density electrical insulation where thermal endurance up to Class H (180°C) is required. Phenolic Formaldehyde (PF) and EMC formulations prevent carbonization under intense localized arcing, preserving structural integrity in high-vibration switchboards.
Precision brass/steel threaded inserts are compression-molded with high-pressure knurling to withstand high torsional torque (up to 500 N.m). Optimized ribbing designs lengthen surface creepage distances to avoid flashover in contaminated environments.
